Use this page for the setup and member-use issues that have come up while building the Movie of the Month Club site.
Login and Passwords
I forgot my password. What do I do?
Go to Forgot your password?, enter your username or email address, and check your email for a reset link. The link expires after 1 hour.
I know my email but not my username.
Ask an admin to check Admin → Members. Logins use usernames, not email addresses.
The reset email did not arrive.
Check spam/junk first. Also make sure the member has a valid email address saved in Admin → Members. Some shared hosting accounts may also require email to be sent from an address on your domain.
Movie Tracking
How do I see who has not watched a past movie?
Go to History, click the movie title or View Details, then look under the Not Watched section.
Why do future movie picks not show for everyone?
Members can submit movies for the current month or next month only. Future picks stay hidden until their month becomes active.
What does Pre-Membership mean?
Use Pre-Membership when a movie was selected before that person joined the club. Those members are separated from the normal watched/not-watched list.
Applications and Voting
Who can vote on new applications?
Only active members can vote. Admin accounts can view applications, but they do not count as valid voters.
How many votes are needed?
An application needs a two-thirds Yes majority of active members. For example, if there are 15 active members, 10 Yes votes are required.
How are members notified about applications?
When someone submits a new application, the site emails active members. The pending-vote reminder script can also email members who still need to vote.
iPhone / Home Screen
How do members add the site to their iPhone Home Screen?
On iPhone, open Safari, go to https://zabojnik.net, tap the Share button, tap Add to Home Screen, then tap Add.
